According to the Da Nang City Department of Industry and Trade, implementing the direction of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the city has proactively implemented the Plan to ensure supply and demand balance, market stabilization at the end of 2025 and the Lunar New Year 2026, in order to fully and promptly meet the consumption needs of people, especially essential goods, contributing to market stabilization and inflation control.

Right from the last months of 2025, the domestic market in the city began to become vibrant with many stimulus programs, promotions, and shopping festivals. Businesses, supermarket systems and retail stores have proactively increased the amount of goods in stock from 10-15% compared to normal days to serve the increased consumer demand during Tet.

Through synthesis, the total value of goods stored for Tet Nguyen Dan 2026 throughout the city is estimated to reach nearly 3,500 billion VND. In which, key enterprises supplying food, foodstuffs, supermarket systems and shopping centers stored about 1,469 billion VND; traders doing business at 240 traditional markets stored about 1,048 billion VND; retail stores and grocery stores in residential areas stored over 900 billion VND.

For gasoline and oil, the reserve and supply system in the city includes 10 warehouses with a total capacity of nearly 198,000 m3 and 313 retail stores, ensuring to meet a minimum of 19 days of consumption. During Tet, it is expected that the reserve of gasoline and oil will increase by about 20% to serve the travel and transportation needs of people.

These programs attract a large number of businesses to participate, contributing to promoting consumption and circulation of goods at the end of the year.

In particular, the city organizes market price stabilization points during Tet, focusing on essential goods such as food, confectionery, household goods, and clothes. At the same time, in the days leading up to Tet, more than 15 price stabilization points for livestock and poultry will be arranged in markets and residential areas, with commitment prices lower than the market and publicly listed.

In addition, the Department of Industry and Trade coordinates to organize markets to bring goods to mountainous communes, combined with social security activities, contributing to ensuring the lives of people in difficult areas during the 2026 Lunar New Year.

In parallel with that, market inspection and control work is strengthened to promptly detect and prevent acts of speculation, hoarding goods, unreasonable price increases, smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods, ensuring a stable and safe market for consumers before, during and after Tet.
