At around 0:10 on April 24, at the roundabout area of Nguyen Trung Truc Street, Ward 1, Tan An City, Long An Province, a young man suddenly acted abnormally, suspected of being stolen by a rock and used broken glass to self-inflicted injuries.
According to people at the scene, the young man, with an unknown background, suddenly knelt in the middle of the road and continued to bow. Immediately after that, this person picked up a rock that broke the nearby banh mi cabinet, then used broken glass to wear it around his neck many times, causing a lot of blood to flow. The victim then fell onto the sidewalk in a state of immobility.
Out of fear, no one dared to approach or try to stop him.
Upon receiving the report, the police force of Ward 1 quickly arrived at the scene to maintain order and coordinated to take the victim to the hospital for emergency care in critical condition.
Initial information said that the young man had signs suspected to be due to the use of stimulants.
The case is being further verified by the authorities, clarifying the identity of the victim and the cause of the above behavior.
