Accepting the direction, the Department of Agriculture and Environment has completed the draft Decision of the Provincial People's Committee on establishing a Support Team for the asset valuation council of Tuy Phong commune damaged by the water reservoir breach incident on Tan Lai mountain. At the same time, it is proposed that relevant agencies and units assign leaders to participate in the working group and contribute opinions to the draft decision to establish support teams.

Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment Phan Nguyen Hoang Tan also assigned the Sub-Department of Irrigation and Water Resources to propose solutions to support people affected by property damage, ensuring timeliness and compliance with regulations, helping people soon stabilize their lives.

The Planning - Finance Department and specialized units are assigned to study regulations related to supporting property damage, and assign specialized officials to coordinate in the process of participating in giving opinions.

The establishment of the Support Team for the Tuy Phong Commune Property Valuation Council is expected to remove bottlenecks in determining the value of damage, creating a basis for functional agencies to implement compensation and support steps for affected people.

The incident occurred on the evening of November 1, 2025, when the water reservoir on Tan Lai mountain under the Viet Phong Phu Farm project broke, killing a 13-year-old girl and injuring one person. The water flow affected more than 125 hectares of production land, crops, and livestock of 374 households.

Functional agencies then determined that Viet Phong Phu Farm Trading Co., Ltd. had arbitrarily dug 6 ponds and reservoirs on Tan Lai mountain. In July 2026, the Investigation Police Agency of Lam Dong Provincial Police prosecuted defendant Tran Quang Tinh, Director of the company, for the act of "Violating construction regulations causing serious consequences".
