Hanoi Urban Railway Management Board (MRB) has just announced a plan to barricade and reorganize traffic on Tran Hung Dao street. The barricading is to serve the construction of the fence and auxiliary items north of subway station S12 under the Nhon - Hanoi station urban railway project (metro).
According to the plan, the erection of fixed barriers will begin from May 20, 2026 in the Tran Hung Dao street area, the section from Le Duan street to Phan Boi Chau street.

To ensure construction safety and limit traffic congestion, this area will be organized for one-way traffic for cars and mixed vehicles in the direction from Phan Boi Chau to Le Duan.
For vehicles moving in the opposite direction, from Le Duan to Phan Boi Chau, MRB guides traffic along an alternative route including: Hang Long - Yet Kieu - Tran Hung Dao - Phan Boi Chau.
In addition, the construction unit also arranges separate lanes for motorbikes to reduce the impact on people's travel. Accordingly, two-way traffic will be organized on the temporary road from 1.2m to 2m wide connecting from Hang Co alley to Phan Boi Chau street.
Another temporary road from 1.5m to 2m wide is also established to connect from Le Duan to the VietinBank bank area.

According to MRB, the barrier system will be minimized to ensure that the remaining road surface is about 4.5m to 8m wide for vehicles to circulate.
In the construction area, functional units will fully arrange signs, warning lights and on-duty forces to guide and divert traffic.
To reduce the impact on people's lives and travel, construction vehicles only operate at night, from 10 pm to 5 am the next morning.
