Gia Lai - Authorities at all levels are continuing to mobilize human resources and resources to respond to natural disasters and floods that are becoming increasingly complex.

On January 7, information from the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee said that the total value of damage caused by natural disasters in 2024 was nearly 205 billion VND (an increase of 172.6% compared to 2023).

Of which, housing damage was over 1.7 billion VND. 7 temporary houses collapsed completely, and the roofs of 83 households were blown off.

The whole province suffered damage to agriculture, forestry, livestock, fisheries, and essential infrastructure of over 203.2 billion VND.

Of which, the damage to agriculture and forestry was over 201.7 billion VND; to irrigation about 232 million VND; to transportation about 200 million VND; to communications about 100 million VND; to industry about 200 million VND and to other works more than 601 million VND...

Gia Lai province has directed relevant agencies to focus on repairing a number of items and projects, especially ensuring housing affected by natural disasters.

In 2025, the Provincial People's Committee sets out 6 key tasks and solutions in disaster prevention.

The province continues to implement the National Strategy for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control to 2030, with a vision to 2050; the national natural disaster prevention plan to 2025; the national comprehensive program for natural disaster prevention and control; review, update, and supplement response plans for all levels of natural disaster risks...
