On the afternoon of September 3rd, Mr. Hoang Viet Lam - Chairman of Dinh Van Lam Ha Commune People's Committee (Lam Dong) said that rescue forces had found the body of N.N.B. H (born in 2009, residing in the locality), who went missing after falling into the Da Dang River on the afternoon of September 1st.
The victim's body was found on the Da Dang River, near Dinh Van bridge, nearly 1km from Mang bridge - where the incident occurred.
Rescue forces brought the female student's body ashore to serve verification work, and at the same time completed procedures to hand over to her family for funeral arrangements.
Previously, as Lao Dong Newspaper reported, at about 7 pm on September 1, people discovered a motorbike and a pair of sandals in the Mang bridge area, Tan Lin village, Dinh Van Lam Ha commune.
After receiving the report, Dinh Van Lam Ha Commune Police extracted camera footage and determined that female student H. fell from the Mang bridge area into the Da Dang River.
Dinh Van Lam Ha Commune People's Committee then mobilized more than 50 people from many forces, coordinated with Phu Son Lam Ha Commune People's Committee and Area 17 Fire Fighting and Rescue Team to organize the search.
However, prolonged heavy rain caused the Da Dang River water to rise and flow rapidly, causing many difficulties for rescue work.
