Body of young man found in Quang Tri drowning while swimming in the sea during the holiday

    Quang Tri - During the holiday, a young man was unfortunately swept away by waves and drowned while swimming in Vinh Thai commune.

    On the morning of May 2, Vinh Thai Commune Police, Vinh Linh District, said they had found the body of a drowning young man on Thai Lai beach.

    Previously, at around 4:30 p.m. on May 1, Ng.L.L.S (born in 2004, residing in Vinh Long commune, Vinh Linh district, Quang Tri province) was swept away by waves while swimming in the sea.

    Immediately after receiving the report, the authorities including Vinh Thai Commune Police, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Quang Tri Province Police, local authorities and people urgently deployed the search throughout the night.

    At around 6am on May 2, the victim's body was found about 50m south of the accident site.

    Currently, the authorities have completed the procedures to hand over the body to the family for funeral arrangements according to local customs.

    It is known that during the April 30 - May 1 holiday, thousands of people and tourists went to the beaches in Quang Tri province to swim.
