In order to ensure security, order and urban beauty, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just issued a document directing departments, branches, sectors, districts, towns and Thu Duc City to strengthen the handling of the situation of vagrants, beggars, street vendors, ripping off, and soliciting tourists.
Accordingly, the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee requested localities to urgently review, compile statistics and make a list of violators, especially in public areas and tourist attractions. Functional forces will be mobilized to coordinate to completely handle this situation.

To improve the effectiveness of inspection and handling, the Department of Health and localities will establish an interdisciplinary inspection team, regularly patrolling and controlling. At the same time, the Department of Health and the Department of Culture and Sports will step up propaganda work, encouraging people to report information via the VNeID application or report to the authorities.
In addition, relevant units will closely coordinate with local authorities to organize patrols, close complex locations, promptly receive and handle information reflected via hotlines and other information channels.
To thoroughly solve the problem, Ho Chi Minh City will also research and propose solutions to organize, arrange and manage street vending activities in tourist areas, ensuring urban aesthetics and safety for people and tourists.

The city government is also interested in proposing policies and support for forces performing tasks related to this work.
Ho Chi Minh City Police will coordinate with the Youth Volunteer and Urban Order force to increase patrols, control, strictly handle violations of traffic safety and order, investigate and explore cases, arrest mobile subjects, fight against " Street criminals", handle acts of dragging, chasing, soliciting visitors, and encroaching on tourists' property.
