The accident happened at about 5 pm on August 25 on Nguyen Chi Thanh street, the intersection with DX 102 street, Chanh Hiep ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
Initial information, at the above time, a truck with An Giang province license plate was traveling on Nguyen Chi Thanh street in the direction from Dau Tieng to National Highway 13, when it reached the intersection with DX 102 street, an accident occurred with an electric bicycle driven by two students.
After the collision, the truck rushed towards the median strip and stopped. The electric bicycle and 2 female students were thrown onto the road. The accident killed female student T.T. N. T (10th grade student, residing in Phu An ward) at the scene. The companion was seriously injured and taken to the emergency room by people.
At the scene, the female student's body was lying under the truck. The victim's electric bicycle was slightly damaged and flew in front of the truck.
Upon receiving the news, local functional forces were present to protect the scene and regulate traffic through the area. By 7:00 PM on the same day, functional forces had finished handling the scene of the accident. The cause of the accident is being investigated and clarified.
