On the afternoon of August 25, information from the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of the Ministry of Public Security said that the CSGT force will organize a general inspection and handle violations of road traffic order and safety for transport business vehicles nationwide, from August 26 to September 25, 2026.
Accordingly, the peak period focuses on inspecting business vehicles for freight transport such as trucks, tractor-trailers pulling trailers, semi-trailers, vehicles carrying construction materials, filling materials... ; along with business vehicles for passenger transport from 8 seats or more and 2-story sleeper buses.
Routes and areas focused on control include key national highways, expressways and winding mountain passes, limited visibility, with a high risk of traffic accidents.
According to the Traffic Police Department, functional forces will focus on handling many groups of violations such as speeding; violating regulations on lanes and lanes; overtaking vehicles in violation of regulations; using phones when driving vehicles; stopping, parking, picking up and dropping off passengers or goods not in accordance with regulations.
In addition, the traffic police force will inspect and handle cases where vehicles are not registered for transportation business but still carry passengers and goods for collected money; driving vehicles beyond the prescribed time limit; violations related to journey monitoring devices and driver image recording devices.
Acts of carrying oversized and overloaded goods, extending the cargo box; violations of regulations on transport business operations, conditions of vehicles and drivers are also subject to inspection and handling.
For expressways, functional forces will focus on handling acts of not keeping a safe distance from vehicles running in front, along with other violations that potentially cause traffic accidents.
In particular, during patrols and inspections, if violations related to the responsibility of transport business units are detected, the traffic police force will propose and coordinate with functional forces to inspect and handle businesses and vehicle owners according to legal regulations.
The Traffic Police Department said that the general inspection aims to strengthen compliance with the law on traffic order and safety, and at the same time prevent and limit traffic accidents related to transport business vehicles nationwide.
