On the afternoon of August 23, a multi-vehicle accident between 7 cars occurred on the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong expressway, passing through Khanh Hau ward, causing traffic congestion on the route.
Previously, at about 3 pm on the same day, a pickup truck was traveling on the highway in the direction of Ho Chi Minh City. When it reached the section passing Khanh Hau ward, this vehicle suddenly collided with a five-seater car running in front.

After the collision, five cars running behind did not keep a safe distance, did not have time to handle it, so they collided with each other in turn. The incident created a chain collision between 7 cars.
The vehicles then stopped in lane 1, close to the median strip. The front and rear of the vehicles were slightly damaged. The accident did not cause any casualties.
Due to occurring in the late afternoon of the weekend, a time when traffic was dense, the accident caused traffic congestion on the highway. Functional forces then regulated traffic and cleared the scene to reduce congestion.
The cause of the accident is being further investigated and clarified by functional forces.
