In order to prepare for the important event of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has directed relevant units to carry out site handover work and organize preparation activities.
30/4 Park, Pasteur Street and Le Duan Street will be key locations for the April 30 celebration activities, with preparations being implemented in three main stages.
Phase 1, starting from March 22, focuses on gathering equipment and constructing technical items at 30/4 Park.
During this period, stands B, C, logistics areas, floor platforms, A stands and A stand canvas houses will be installed.
The construction area includes the entire 30/4 Park and Pasteur Street (from Le Duan to Alexandre De Rhodes).
Phase 2, taking place from March 31, will implement the construction of the main stage, located on Pasteur Street (from Han Thuyen Street to Le Duan Street).
Phase 3, from April 17, will remove the median strip on Le Duan Street to serve the training of parades and marches. This area stretches along Le Duan Street from Nguyen Binh Khiem Street to the Tour de Cong Commune in Paris.
After the event ends, the relevant units will start the dismantling work from May 1. By May 12, the entire organizing area will be restored to its original state, including the restoration of trees, lighting systems and other infrastructure items.
To ensure the event took place safely, solemnly and on schedule, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned specific tasks to each unit.

Ho Chi Minh City Police are responsible for ensuring security, fire prevention and fighting safety and traffic regulation, and at the same time implementing checkpoints at key intersections during the construction period.
In addition, the Department of Transport will be in charge of handing over the site, temporarily relocating some infrastructure items and carrying out reconstruction after the event ends.
The Department of Natural Resources and Environment temporarily handed over land at 8 - 12 Le Duan to serve the production of flower car models and parade cars.
