Can Tho City People's Committee Headquarters opens to welcome people for Spring outing

Can Tho - For 3 days from January 29 to 31 (the 1st and 3rd days of Tet), the headquarters of Can Tho City People's Committee will open to welcome residents and tourists to enjoy the Spring Festival.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the People's Committee of Can Tho City has opened its headquarters for people and tourists to visit and enjoy the Spring. The opening time is from January 29 to 31 (ie the 1st to 3rd day of Tet), at address 02, Hoa Binh Street, Tan An Ward, Ninh Kieu District.

In preparation for the opening to welcome visitors, the City People's Committee had previously arranged many green trees and decorated many beautiful miniature landscapes, creating a space filled with spring colors in the headquarters campus for people to comfortably check-in and take photos.

Notably, in the first days of Spring, the headquarters of the People's Committee of Can Tho City welcomed a large number of people and tourists from inside and outside the city, creating a joyful atmosphere, bustling with laughter during the New Year at the state administrative agency.

In particular, leaders of Can Tho City People's Committee also came to meet, chat and take photos with people and tourists, creating closeness, friendliness and building good relationships.

Ms. Kim Pha (Ninh Kieu District, Can Tho City) excitedly shared that this was the first time she had visited, seen and learned about the City People's Committee headquarters. Thanks to that, she also understood more clearly about the activities of state agencies and felt the closeness between the government and the people.

“I am very happy that this year I can enjoy the atmosphere of the traditional Tet holiday right at the headquarters. The place is decorated with many colorful spring scenes, everyone is excited to check-in, take pictures happily and bustlingly,” Ms. Kim Pha said enthusiastically.

According to the leader of Can Tho City People's Committee, in recent times, the city has focused on taking care of the Lunar New Year 2025. Currently, the city has about 40,000 policy families, people with revolutionary contributions and relatives of martyrs; nearly 52,000 social protection beneficiaries; more than 1,300 children in especially difficult circumstances; 13,200 enterprises with nearly 620,000 employed workers.

During the Lunar New Year, in addition to gifts from the Central Government, Can Tho spent more than 70 billion VND from the city budget to visit and give Tet gifts to policy beneficiaries, poor households, and the elderly; with subsidies ranging from 1 million VND to 1.6 million VND/person.

This is the city's effort to ensure that people have a happy, healthy, safe and economical Tet holiday; absolutely no one will be left without a Tet holiday.

In addition, the city also organizes many cultural, artistic, sports and meaningful and practical entertainment activities, especially decorating art light streets, art flower streets and organizing Spring flower markets in the area during Tet.
