On the afternoon of June 1st, the Public Service and Care Center under the People's Committee of Bac Nha Trang ward said that it had a report related to the pipeline system appearing in the Pham Van Dong beach area.
In recent days, social networks have spread images and information reflecting an open pipeline system located in the Hon Chong beach area.
Many people expressed concern when they are not clear about the purpose of use of this pipeline, and at the same time believe that the existence of the project may affect the landscape, urban aesthetics and local tourism image.

After receiving feedback, leaders of Bac Nha Trang Ward People's Committee directed specialized units to conduct actual inspection of the scene.
On the same morning, representatives of the Public Service and Career Center surveyed the area and exchanged with local people.
Through this, it was initially determined that this pipeline system was once used to take seawater to serve shrimp farming activities of households in the previous period.
Mr. Le Van My - Director of the Public Service and Career Center - said that the aquaculture area has now stopped operating.
The pipeline system is no longer in use and the owner has not been identified to date.
According to records, under the impact of tides and natural siltation, most of the pipeline has been buried by sea sand.
Only when the tide is low or local erosion occurs do some sections appear on the surface.
Through site inspection, functional agencies have not detected signs that the pipeline is being used to discharge waste into the marine environment.
Currently, functional agencies of Bac Nha Trang ward continue to coordinate with relevant units to search for the owner of the pipeline system.
In case the owner cannot be identified and the project is assessed as no longer of use value, and the dismantling does not affect the marine environment, natural terrain as well as existing technical infrastructure, the locality will consider reporting to competent authorities to request a dismantling policy.
The handling is aimed at ensuring urban aesthetics and safety for people and tourists when visiting and swimming in the Hon Chong area.
