Information from the Vietnam Road Administration, from 8:00 PM on July 15, 2026, the Administration will officially organize toll collection for expressway use for 5 component projects of public investment belonging to the North-South Expressway in the East phase 2021-2025.
The implementation of toll collection is carried out in accordance with the law on toll collection for expressway use for roads owned by the entire people directly managed and exploited by the State; and at the same time, implementing the direction of the Prime Minister in Notice No. 343/TB-VPCP dated July 1, 2026 on the 6-month preliminary review conference of the Steering Committee for key national projects in the field of transport.
Previously, the Minister of Construction issued Document No. 10646/BXD-KTQLXD dated July 10, 2026, requesting to complete the conditions for organizing toll collection at component projects of the North-South Expressway in the East according to each time milestone.
Accordingly, from July 15, 2026, toll collection will be organized for 5 component projects from Bai Vot to Cam Lo; from August 15, 2026 for 5 projects from Quang Ngai to Nha Trang; from September 15, 2026 for 2 projects from Can Tho to Ca Mau.
According to the Vietnam Road Department, 5 component projects will start collecting tolls from 8:00 p.m. on July 15, including: Bai Vot - Ham Nghi; Ham Nghi - Vung Ang; Vung Ang - Bung; Bung - Van Ninh and Van Ninh - Cam Lo.
To ensure the safe, smooth and effective operation of the toll collection system, the Vietnam Road Administration requests vehicle owners to proactively affix non-stop electronic toll collection (ETC) terminals, and maintain sufficient balance in non-cash toll collection accounts before traveling on expressways.
In addition, vehicle drivers need to strictly comply with the road traffic sign system, instructions from functional forces at the toll station area, and strictly comply with regulations on vehicle weight to ensure traffic safety and avoid congestion during operation.
