The student said that the students' goal is "to be able to provide information and knowledge about vegetarian food and its benefits to humans, animals and the environment. Spreading love for the vegetarian lifestyle in particular and love for food in general, as well as evoking creative inspiration in preparing vegetarian cuisine from purely natural ingredients, without preservatives. Becoming an "open door" that welcomes young people who share the same passion, practice and spread the meaning of vegetarianism.
For a long time, I have thought that it is usually practitioners who seek vegetarian food, mostly older people, so it is a new thing for young people to be interested in vegetarian food. It also shows a new trend instead of focusing on fast food - the culprit causing obesity in children.
A study on the rate of overweight and obesity among 5th grade students in some districts of Hanoi conducted in 2023 showed that in schools in urban districts, the rate of overweight and obesity ranged from 45 .5% to 55.7%. As for suburban districts, the rate is from 20.9% to 31.1%.
Meanwhile, a study by the National Institute of Nutrition published at the end of 2023 showed that: In the group of children aged 5 to 19 years old, there was a clear decrease in malnutrition and an increase in overweight and obesity.
