After this 2026 Lunar New Year holiday, Mr. Hoang Van Tuyen (Thai Binh commune, Tuyen Quang province) will graduate from a vocational training course in electronics engineering at Tuyen Quang Vocational College of Engineering and Technology and immediately get a job at a business in the province.
“During our studies, we have access to new textbooks as well as direct practice on the school's modern machinery and internships at businesses. So after graduating, I am confident that I can work at the business immediately,” Mr. Tuyen shared.
Currently, Tuyen Quang Vocational College of Engineering and Technology has a training scale of more than 2,000 students/year with a variety of majors and occupations according to social needs. Some majors are specialized and have high technology elements.
Mr. Do Xuan Truong - Principal of Tuyen Quang Vocational College of Engineering and Technology said that in the context of the increasingly modern requirements of new industries, the school has proactively equipped students with digital transformation skills and high-tech applications in courses, ensuring output quality.
According to statistics from the Department of Education and Training of Tuyen Quang province, there are currently more than 500,000 people of working age in the area, with the proportion of labor in the agricultural sector accounting for over 60%. This figure is considered both an advantage and a challenge in the context of new requirements for human resources.
While the number of people of working age is quite abundant, the proportion of skilled labor is not high, mainly operating in the fields of agriculture and forestry. Vocational training and improving the quality of labor resources in Tuyen Quang are currently being promoted.
In the period 2021 - 2025, the whole province has organized vocational training for more than 90,000 workers, with over 90% of trained workers having stable jobs. Every year, hundreds of students are selected to be sent to training at key universities at home and abroad.
After the merger, Tuyen Quang province has 1,100 educational institutions and schools. The system of ethnic minority boarding and semi-boarding schools has been expanded in scale and gradually improved in quality. The quality of prizes and the number of students participating and winning prizes at regional and national competitions and exams are increasing.
The implementation of Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW dated August 22, 2025 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development is actively implemented by Tuyen Quang province. In which, resources are focused and allocated to comprehensively improve the quality of human resources.
Talking to PV, Mr. Vu Dinh Hung - Director of the Department of Education and Training of Tuyen Quang province said that specific and outstanding mechanisms and policies for education and training development will help promptly remove bottlenecks and promote innovation.
Resolution No. 71 helps the education apparatus operate more streamlined, efficiently and professionally. Along with that are specific and outstanding preferential policies, thereby the teaching staff can feel secure in their work, contributing to gradually improving the quality of education and training," said Mr. Vu Dinh Hung.
