On November 8, in Phu Quoc City (Kien Giang), a conference was held to press the button to pilot the AI Camera system to monitor security and order. This is one of the important steps in deploying artificial intelligence (AI) technology to improve the effectiveness of ensuring security and order in the area.
The AI Camera system is integrated with features such as facial recognition, license plate recognition, behavior analysis and real-time detection of unusual situations. These cameras are installed in key areas, including main roads, tourist areas, and densely populated areas, to support management and quick and effective situation handling.
After being put into operation, exploited and used, the AI Camera surveillance system will identify subjects entering and leaving Phu Quoc City; convert the management status of subjects from manual to digital transformation in the fight against crime to meet the implementation requirements in the current situation.
Speaking at the Conference, Colonel Nguyen Nhat Truong, Deputy Director of Kien Giang Provincial Police, emphasized: the AI Camera system will help enhance security monitoring capabilities, reduce crime and ensure safety for people and tourists.
In addition, the system also helps improve traffic management, monitor urban order and is an important foundation for other public services in the future. This model is expected to continue to be expanded and perfected in the near future with the hope of becoming one of the models for applying smart technology in security and order management in large cities.
Previously, 41 cameras were installed at 7 points, which are traffic gateways and residential areas such as: Bai Vong Passenger Port, An Thoi Port, Phu Quoc International Airport, Sun Group, Corona Phu Quoc Casino, Phu Quoc Night Market area and Ho Chi Minh Square.
The installation of a camera system to monitor security and order in Phu Quoc City is one of the breakthroughs in the application of science and technology to serve the monitoring and management of the area by the City Police. Thereby contributing to raising people's awareness when participating in traffic, preventing and fighting crimes and crime prevention activities.
