The Party Committee, leaders of agencies, organizations (unions, veterans' associations, youth unions) and civil servants, public employees, workers, union members, and members of the City People's Committee Office participated in supporting the people in the North to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3 according to the Appeal Letter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City.
At the support meeting, Chief of Office of the City People's Committee Nguyen Ha Nam quickly informed about the natural disaster situation, the heavy damage to people and property caused by storm No. 3.
More than ever, the lives of people affected by natural disasters need attention and support from all levels, sectors, localities and the whole society.
Each contribution at this time will be a great motivation to help people in disaster-stricken areas stay strong, quickly stabilize their lives and soon restore production.
Promoting the tradition of solidarity, mutual love, and helping each other of the nation, all cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of the Office of the People's Committee of Da Nang City have donated to share and provide relief to people in the northern localities with a total amount of 112,578,515 VND (including on-site support and 1 day's salary).
All the money raised and contributed by the City People's Committee Office will be transferred to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City to promptly help people in the Northern provinces overcome the consequences of natural disasters in the fastest time.
Millions of arms turn to compatriots affected by storms and floods
Storms and floods have caused severe damage in many provinces in the northern region.
