On May 6, at the Hanoi City Police (CATP) headquarters, Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung - Director of Hanoi City Police - chaired a working session to assess the progress of solving urban order (TTĐT) bottlenecks and traffic congestion in the city.
According to statistics from the City Police, from April 23 to May 5, units organized more than 1,000 patrols and inspections in the field of urban order; fined 2,204 cases of administrative violations with an amount of more than 1.15 billion VND; "cold fines" for 1,136 cases, fined more than 557 million VND, thereby continuing to maintain the effectiveness of management of urban order and public order in the city.
For the field of traffic congestion, units continue to organize measures to operate and divert traffic at 16 points that are frequently congested.
During the period, functional forces inspected and handled more than 11,900 cases of traffic order and safety violations, fined more than 34.5 billion VND; AI camera system detected and sent violation handling notices for 3,495 cases.

At the conference, representatives of departments, branches, localities and Commanders of functional departments under the City Police participated in discussions, clarified the results of implementation, difficulties and obstacles, and proposed solutions in the coming time, focusing on issues such as handling violations of urban order and public order after 10 PM; spontaneous markets and business points reopening spontaneously; mobile pushcarts and street vendors; billboards, porch roofs; garbage collection during peak hours; construction progress of barrier projects; handling spontaneous people's walkways; developing static traffic, adjusting the bus network and strengthening the application of AI camera systems to serve the management and handling of violations in the city.
Speaking at the conclusion of the conference, Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung - Director of Hanoi Police Department - frankly pointed out that the results achieved were not uniform and unsustainable, and some contents need to continue to be focused on directing and maintaining regularly to ensure clearer changes in the coming time.
The Director of the City Police Department requested that after the conference, units that still allow existing problems to have specific actions and actions immediately; at the same time, departments, branches, People's Committees of communes, wards and units in the City Police Department need to continue to review and thoroughly handle violations; strengthen post-inspection, clarify the responsibility of heads if violations are allowed to recur.
For the Police force, the Director of the City Police Department requested Heads of units to promote their core role in detecting, advising, inspecting, handling and proposing handling of responsibilities; Police of communes and wards proactively advise Party committees and People's Committees at the same level to organize handling of violations in the area, firmly grasp violation points, violating routes, and violation time frames.
The guiding spirit of the conference has determined: If the task is clear, it must be done immediately; if violations have been pointed out, they must be handled thoroughly; if responsibility has been determined, it must be seriously reviewed; in areas that do not change, the way of doing things must be changed, and the person responsible must be changed if necessary" - Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung emphasized.
