On May 6, Hoa Hiep Commune People's Committee said that the locality had a document requesting the Department of Health, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Social Work - Vocational Education Center (abbreviated as the Center) to receive child N.G. K (born in 2024) who was just abused and is being treated at Children's Hospital 1, Ho Chi Minh City.
According to Hoa Hiep Commune People's Committee, K is currently unattended and is being treated for about 3 weeks. Previously, the locality contacted some relatives of K but all refused to take care of the baby.
Therefore, to ensure that baby K recovers soon, the locality has proposed that the Center receive the baby; at the same time, assign people to take care of him during treatment and after discharge. After that, baby K is expected to be transferred to the Center for Social Protection and Work (in the eastern area of Ho Chi Minh City) to continue raising and creating conditions for the baby to study.
Previously, N.T. T. T (born in 1993 - K's biological mother) and D.C (born in 1996 - K's stepfather) and K moved to rent a motel in Hoa Hiep commune. On May 2nd, D.C and T.T used bamboo sticks to hit K's legs, back and head many times. When people discovered and reported, functional agencies quickly approached and took K to Ba Ria General Hospital for emergency treatment. After that, K continued to be transferred to Children's Hospital 1, Ho Chi Minh City.
After being hospitalized and examined, child K was diagnosed with multiple injuries, spleen rupture, liver, pancreas rupture, kidney damage, left forearm fracture, cerebral ischemia...
The Investigation Police Agency of Ho Chi Minh City Police has issued an emergency arrest warrant for N.T. T. T and D.C to investigate and clarify the act of child abuse and proceed with handling according to regulations.
