The Go Vap District Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team dispatched a fire truck and 5 soldiers to spray water on the house. About 10 minutes later, the remnants of fire and smoke in the house were completely controlled.
At the scene, the two-story house was on fire, causing the rolling door to collapse. The iron frames on the second floor of the house were charred black, and the pressure from the fire caused the second-floor window glass to shatter into many pieces.
According to the report of the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police of Go Vap District, the household of 3 people is headed by Mr. Tran Viet Danh. When the fire was discovered, Mr. Tran Viet Danh (homeowner), Mrs. Tran Thi Viet Hoa (homeowner's daughter-in-law) escaped through the balcony (emergency escape) in front of the house, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Danh (homeowner's son) escaped through the main door.
The house on fire has a floor area of about 42m2 (including 1 ground floor, 1 mezzanine), the burned area is about 30m2, burning property and household items. Estimated damage is hundreds of millions of dong.
At 9am, firefighters were still actively spraying water to cool the house. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
