HCMC - The fire at a 6-storey beauty salon on Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street started from a car in the basement. All 20 people inside were rescued in time.

On November 30, the People's Committee of Ban Co Ward officially informed about the fire that occurred at a beauty salon on Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street on November 29 as reported by Lao Dong Newspaper. According to the report, at 3:43 p.m. on November 29, Ban Co Ward Police received a fire report at the address on Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street. In just a few minutes, the police and military forces of the ward coordinated with the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police of Region 3 (Ho Chi Minh City Police) to arrive and organize fire fighting.

At 3:45 p.m., 4 specialized vehicles and dozens of officers and soldiers were mobilized to the scene. Firefighting work was carried out simultaneously in and outside the basement area, preventing the fire from spreading to the business area above.

By 4:15 p.m., the fire was completely controlled.

The beauty salon caught fire on a 6-storey building with a basement for parking vehicles, with a total area of about 392 m2. According to initial records, the fire area was in the basement; the cause was a car with a Can Tho license plate parked here.

At the time of the fire, there were 20 people inside the facility, including staff and guests. Everyone was instructed to escape safely, the incident did not cause any human casualties.

The authorities are continuing to consolidate the case file and investigate the cause of the fire to handle it according to regulations.
