On December 3, speaking with Lao Dong reporter, Mr. H (residing in Quarter 4, Ba Dinh Ward, Bim Son Town, Thanh Hoa Province - father of the first grade student who was beaten at Ba Dinh Primary School) said that after the incident where his daughter was beaten by her teacher, the police got involved and assessed her injuries. The assessment result was 0%.
"With the above results, the authorities may take administrative measures against the teacher for beating the student," said Mr. H.
Also related to the above incident, Mr. Le Sy Tien - Head of the Department of Education and Training of Bim Son town, Thanh Hoa province said that currently there is still no conclusion of the investigation from the police agency about the incident of teacher Vo Thi Tam (at Ba Dinh Primary School) beating a student.
“Previously, the People's Committee of Bim Son town decided to suspend this teacher from teaching so that the police can verify and investigate the case. Currently, teacher Tam has been transferred to do administrative and clerical work at the school, unrelated to teaching,” Mr. Tien informed.
Mr. Tien added that the authorities are waiting for the conclusion from the police agency. Once there is a conclusion, they will take the next steps.
As previously reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, the family of T.P.N (6 years old, student of class 1B, Ba Dinh Primary School) discovered that their daughter had bruises on her back and unusual scratches on her ear, so they asked. Later, they learned that N had been beaten and had her ear pulled many times by teacher Vo Thi Tam.
After the above incident, many other parents also filed a complaint accusing teacher Tam of beating other students, even though the beatings had been going on since last year.
