HCMC - Regarding the suspected vomiting and abdominal pain at the apartment building when eating bread, the owner has apologized, temporarily suspended sales and sent samples for testing.

Regarding the case of a series of people, including children, living in an apartment complex in Long Binh ward, who were feverish, vomited and went out continuously suspected of eating bread bought at a store in the area, Ms. T.M (reported representative of the banh da banh da) apologized, announced the suspension of sales and proactively sent samples for testing to clarify whether the cause was due to eating bread or not.

On the afternoon of September 26, speaking with Lao Dong reporter, Ms. T.M said that immediately after receiving feedback from the community, the store had taken an official move.

Ms. T.M posted on the residents' group to apologize for "unfortunate unexpected incidents affecting the health of everyone and the children". Along with a sincere apology, the store also announced a temporary suspension of sales during this time.

On September 26, Ms. M. confirmed that she had sent food samples for testing at the Pasteur Institute to find the cause and went to the police station to report the incident.

Ms. M. expressed her wish to remedy the consequences and hoped that affected cases would recover quickly. The bakery representative said they are still waiting for the test results after 5 days from the Pasteur Institute.

On the management agency's side, at noon on September 26, a representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety confirmed to Lao Dong Newspaper that the unit had received information about the incident since yesterday (September 25).

Currently, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety is urgently coordinating, handling and investigating the incident to determine the exact cause of the disease for a series of people.
