Regarding the incident of a boy throwing his sandals into a water valve and damaging 2 elevators, Mr. Hoang Van Bien - Head of the Management Board of CT12B Apartment Building, Kim Van - Kim Lu Urban Area (Dinh Cong Ward, Hanoi) said that up to now, elevator maintenance unit has repaired and operated normally.
The 5th ladder is still in the process of repairing the damage. Initial inspection showed that some buckets in the elevator were burned, while others had not yet determined the cause, showing signs of water intrusion.
It is expected that on the evening of October 2, relevant parties will meet to grasp the damage of the elevator, then discuss a repair plan and order accessories.

Mr. Bien also said that the cost of repairing the elevator has not yet been finalized. If it is too high, it will be difficult for related households to bear it.
" Of course, the maintenance and repair unit will have to collect money. The source of money will depend on the meeting between many parties, including the government, the building management board, the investor and 3 households. We will meet to discuss a common solution, minimizing the financial burden on residents. I believe the repair cost will not be too high" - Mr. Bien said.
As Lao Dong reported, on September 27, when 3 children were playing throwing sandals in the corridor of the 5th floor of CT12B building, suddenly a child threw them at the water valve of the automatic fire prevention and fighting system, causing foam water to splash onto the floor. After that, the 3 children ran away, while the water continued to flood strongly.
For about 5-7 minutes, from the time the fountain broke until residents discovered it, water flowed into the elevator, causing 2 out of 7 elevators to be damaged, and had to temporarily stop operating for repair.

Immediately afterwards, the Management Board and the Management Board invited the parents of the 3 young children and the floor leader to work and make a verification record. At the meeting, all 3 families admitted that the incident stemmed from the children playing.
Regarding information on social networks that the children's families must compensate from 300 million to 2 billion VND, Head of CT12B Building Management Board Hoang Van Bien affirmed that this information is not accurate.
"The false information on social networks has caused panic among the family of three children" - Mr. Bien said.
