    Quang Tri - A 4m long whale carcass weighing about 300kg has just washed ashore in Vinh Thai commune, Vinh Linh district.

    On January 14, the People's Committee of Vinh Thai commune (Vinh Linh district, Quang Tri province) said that it had just discovered a whale carcass weighing about 300kg and 4m long washed ashore.

    At around 7:00 p.m. on January 13, some fishermen in Tan Mach village (Vinh Thai commune) discovered a whale carcass lying on the beach.

    Vinh Thai Commune People's Committee informed that this whale had been dead for quite a while, when its body washed ashore, only skin and bones remained.

    Local authorities have mobilized excavators to transport the whale carcass to the burial site to ensure environmental protection.
