On the afternoon of July 25, the leader of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (PC07) - Thai Binh Provincial Police said they had sent a preliminary report to C07 - Ministry of Public Security and Thai Binh Provincial Police leaders about the incident. The fire broke out at noon on the same day in Dong Hung district, Thai Binh province.
According to PC07 - Thai Binh Provincial Police, at 11:35 a.m. on July 25, the unit received a phone call from a woman reporting a fire at Hoa Viet Co., Ltd. (address in Nguyen Xa commune, District 1). Dong Hung, Thai Binh province).
Immediately after receiving the fire report, PC07 - Thai Binh Provincial Police dispatched 1 command vehicle, 5 fire engines, 1 vehicle carrying clean air refills and pumps, 1 rescue vehicle and 41 combat officers. Soldiers led by Lieutenant Colonel Pham Huy Dam - Head of PC07 arrived at the fire scene at 12:05 a.m. and organized the firefighting, rescue and relief work.
By 12:15, the fire was under control and there was no possibility of it spreading. By about 12:45 a.m., the fire was completely extinguished.
At the scene, authorities recorded a fire that occurred at a pot and pan scrubbing factory, steel frame structure, corrugated iron roof, and brick walls. When the fire department arrived at the scene, the fire and smoke had covered an area of about 470 square meters of the factory. A lot of smoke was caused by burning plastic scraps, cardboard, and plastic packaging.
Regarding damage, according to PC07 - Thai Binh Provincial Police, the fire did not cause any loss of life. Property damage is being counted, according to the owner of the facility, a preliminary report of damage is about 75 million VND.
Through the process of taking testimonies, examining the scene, and collecting images, the authorities recorded the initial cause as an electrical equipment malfunction.
Regarding the incident, previously, as Lao Dong informed, according to a report from Dong Hung District General Hospital, around 11:45 a.m. on the same day, this hospital received 8 burn cases from Hoa Viet Co., Ltd. caused by vehicles. A personal car was transported with moderate burns in many areas of the body; Including 6 cases of burns on the face, chest, abdomen, arms and legs.
At around 12:15, four more people were taken to the emergency room, bringing the total number of emergency cases due to burns and smoke to 12 people.
According to the preliminary assessment of Dong Hung District General Hospital, the victims were in a state of moderate burns, their whole bodies were stable, and there was no respiratory failure. All patients are treated aggressively and urgently.
According to the wishes of the Company and the victim's family, by 2:30 p.m. the same day, the hospital had transferred 11 cases to Thai Binh Provincial General Hospital; 1 case mainly suffered from mental panic and was monitored and treated at Dong Hung General Hospital.
It is known that this is not the first time a fire has occurred at Hoa Viet Co., Ltd. Currently, the authorities are continuing to investigate and clarify the cause and extent of human and property damage after the fire.
