On March 8, Mr. Pham Nguyen Hong - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (VH-TT-DL) of Thanh Hoa province, with the function of managing press activities in the area, signed a document on verifying and checking press information related to the construction of the headquarters of the People's Council - People's Committee of Hoang Hoa district.
The Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa province requested the People's Committee of Hoang Hoa district to urgently check and verify the content of the information reported by the press, and send a document to the press agency, and at the same time send it to the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa province for synthesis and reporting to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that on March 5, 2025, Mr. Hoang Ngoc Du - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoang Hoa District, Thanh Hoa Province signed a decision approving the adjustment of the feasibility study report of the Investment Project to build the headquarters of the People's Council - People's Committee of Hoang Hoa District.
According to this decision, the total investment of the project is increased from 45 billion VND to 52.8 billion VND (an increase of 7.8 billion VND).In addition to adjusting the amount of money, this decision also extends the project implementation period to 2026 (the previous decision had an implementation period from 2021-2024).
According to the investigation of Lao Dong Newspaper, the above project was approved by the Chairman of Hoang Hoa District People's Committee in Decision No. 1575/QD-UBND dated August 24, 2022, with a total investment capital of 45 billion VND, the implementation period is 2021 - 2024.The project is implemented with a budget and some other legal mobilized sources.
It is worth mentioning that on February 28, 2025, the Politburo and the Secretariat issued Conclusion Notice No. 127-KL/TW on the implementation of research and proposal to continue to reorganize the apparatus of the political system, including the content of studying the merger of some provincial-level administrative units, not district-level organizations, continuing to merge commune-level administrative units.
After Conclusion No. 127-KL/TW, many provinces and cities have announced the temporary suspension of the implementation of new investment projects and works, repair, renovation, and upgrading of offices of agencies, organizations, and units under the management of district-level administrative units, ensuring thrift practice and combating waste.
However, the People's Committee of Hoang Hoa district, Thanh Hoa province not only did not stop but also signed a decision approving the adjustment of the feasibility study report of the investment project to build the headquarters of the People's Council - People's Committee of Hoang Hoa district to increase by nearly 8 billion VND with many specific items, increasing the implementation time.
Speaking with Lao Dong, a representative of the Hoang Hoa District Construction Investment Project Management Board said that the unit is still urgently completing the above project, the project is expected to be put into use in March 2025.
The representative of the investor of this project also added that currently, Thanh Hoa province has not yet issued any documents related to the temporary suspension of district-level headquarters construction projects, so the project is still being implemented normally.
