The fire occurred at about 8:45 am on January 19, in the yard in front of a gas station in Tuan Chau ward, Quang Ninh province.
According to initial information, at the above time, a tanker truck with license plate 15CD-007.00 driven by driver N.D.M. (born 1989), was traveling on National Highway 18 when it suddenly discovered flames rising in the rear area of the car.
Realizing the dangerous situation, the driver quickly drove the vehicle to the wide yard in front of the Dai Yen gas station area, Tuan Chau ward to ask for support to put out the fire.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire and Rescue Police force urgently arrived at the scene, deploying fire fighting plans, cordoning off areas, preventing the fire from spreading, and ensuring safety in the gas station area.
By about 9:30 am on the same day, the fire was basically controlled and completely extinguished.
The incident did not cause any casualties; however, the tanker truck's rear was burned down and heavily damaged.
Currently, the cause of the fire is being further investigated and clarified by functional agencies according to regulations.
