Ukraine declares it will break Russia's plan to produce 1,000 UAVs/day

The commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian army declared that it would break Russia's plan to accelerate the production of UAVs.

Ukrainian Army Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi said that Russia shows no signs of interest in negotiations leading to a peace agreement, on the contrary, it is also sharply increasing weapons production, which aims to produce up to 1,000 UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) per day.

We see the intensity of military operations increasing, the number of enemy attack force clusters increasing, along with the expansion of the production of offensive weapons, missiles and UAVs," Mr. Syrskyi told local media.

Currently, the enemy produces 404 Shahed UAVs of all kinds per day. And the plan is to continue to increase this number. The enemy plans to sharply increase production, up to 1,000 UAVs per day," the Commander-in-Chief added.

According to Mr. Syrskyi, the Ukrainian army is forced to do "anything to break these plans and cause damage, so that the enemy abandons its intentions, while creating conditions for negotiations. No one reaches an agreement with a weak party".

He praised the "deep attack" tactics of the Ukrainian army, describing this as "our strength", with 719 targets hit, causing damage of about 15 billion USD, mainly targeting Russia's oil industry.

Ukraine has rapidly developed its UAV production capacity since Russia launched a military campaign in February 2022.

Ukrainian military leaders regularly emphasize the importance of developing "interceptor UAVs" as the most effective and economical measure to deal with Russian UAV attacks, instead of using missiles.

Mr. Syrskyi also admitted that Russia has the ability to mobilize forces on a much larger scale, but noted that Ukraine's mobilization index "is much better than 7 months ago".

Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi emphasized that this improvement comes from better operation of recruitment and training centers, as well as "how to work with people, because we understand that the problems first arise in places where there is no proper treatment of those who are encouraged".

Mr. Syrskyi said that Ukraine's losses in 2025 decreased by 13% compared to the previous year, "while the level of enemy losses increased significantly".
