On January 19th, the Hanoi People's Committee issued Plan No. 29/KH-UBND on organizing the troop handover and receiving ceremony in 2026.
The plan aims to direct unified implementation at all levels, sectors and localities. The highest goal is to ensure quality, efficiency, absolute safety and compliance with the guiding regulations of the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security.
The 2026 troop handover and receiving ceremony throughout the Capital will take place simultaneously at 8:00 AM on March 4, 2026 (ie, January 16 of the Binh Ngo year).
To ensure the best conditions for new recruits and their relatives to participate, the city organizes 8 large-scale outdoor troop delivery points, equipped with stand roofs and gathering areas for participating blocks to attend the ceremony. These points are strategically allocated at the Regional Defense Commands, specifically:
- Soc Son area (point 1): Soc Son commune stadium, serving 11 communes.
- Phuc Tho area (points 2 and 3): Son Tay ward stadium and Trang Bung Square (Thach That commune), serving 35 communes and wards.
- Hong Ha area (points 4 and 5): Ngoc Ha Ward Culture, Information and Sports Center and My Dinh Stadium square, serving 32 wards.
- Gia Lam area (point 6): Gia Lam Commune Culture, Information and Sports Center, serving 11 communes and wards.
- Thanh Oai area (points 7 and 8): Thanh Tri Commune Stadium and Thanh Oai Commune Stadium, serving 37 communes and wards.
The City People's Committee requests functional agencies to closely coordinate with the receiving unit so that the handover process takes place quickly, in accordance with regulations and in sufficient quantity. In addition, regular inspection, urging and timely removal of difficulties arising at the grassroots level are also prioritized.
