Motorbike caught under truck, family of 3 injured

Ho Chi Minh City - A motorbike was dragged under a truck, a family of 3 people suffered an accident.

The accident happened at about 10 am on May 3rd in the area of Song Than overpass, Di An ward, Ho Chi Minh City.

According to initial information, at the above time, a truck with license plate from Gia Lai province was traveling on Do Muoi street in the direction of Binh Phuoc intersection to Suoi Tien.

When the truck reached the foot of Song Than overpass, the driver steered to turn right under the bridge. While the vehicle was changing direction, it collided with a motorbike driven by Mr. N.V.D (26 years old, from Ha Tinh) carrying his wife, Ms. T. T. D (26 years old, from Dak Lak) and their 1-year-old son.

The collision caused the whole family to fall to the road, and the motorbike was dragged under the truck. The victims were injured and quickly taken to the hospital for emergency treatment. However, Ms. D did not survive. The accident caused her husband to be injured in the leg, and her son to be slightly scratched.

At the scene, the victim's motorbike was damaged and lying under the truck. There were many debris on the road.

It is known that the victim couple worked as workers and rented a room in Dong Nai city. During the holiday, the whole family went to Ho Chi Minh City to visit their grandchild and stayed. Today, they were returning to their rented room when they had an accident.

Upon receiving the news, Ho Chi Minh City Police came to examine the scene and investigate the cause.
