In the afternoon of 3.4, at the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee with leaders of districts, towns in the first quarter of the first quarter of 2025, Director of Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment Nguyen Xuan Dai reported on land management in districts and towns in the course of the completion of the unified and merged administrative units in the city.
According to the preliminary assessment of the results of the 2024 land statistics review in Hanoi, the total natural area of the city (30 communes, wards and towns) is 335,983.58 hectares, of which, unused land expected to be 2,635 hectares by December 31, 2024, reaching 23.31% of the allocated area.
For key projects of the Central Government and the city, the City People's Committee has directed the drastic implementation of land acquisition and site clearance such as: Investment project to build Ring Road 4 - Capital Region; project to expand the headquarters of the Ministry of Public Security No. 44 Yet Kieu.
The city is implementing key investment projects to build transport infrastructure in the city such as: Investing in the construction of 3 bridges across the Red River including Tu Lien, Tran Hung Dao and Ngoc Hoi bridges; Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway project and the project of the connecting route from Gia Binh airport to the city center.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dai said that according to Plan No. 21/KH-UBND dated January 15, 2024 of the City People's Committee, the auction of land use rights in 2024-2025 will be carried out with 735 projects (284 transitional projects), with a total auctioned land area of 555.21 hectares.
By March 2025, the city had collected about VND6,860 billion, reaching 34% of the revenue target from land use rights auctions in 2025.
Along with that, inspection, examination and handling of violations of land management have been strengthened, the city has handled about 28,913 cases, reaching 57.37% of the total number of violations that need to be handled.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dai also informed that the implementation of Conclusion No. 127-KL/TU dated February 28, 2025 of the Politburo and the Secretariat on implementing research and proposing to continue to reorganize the apparatus of the political system will create strong changes, positively affecting land management by creating concentration and unity in management; reducing intermediate administrative levels; improving responsibility and management capacity at the commune level...
The City Party Committee and the City People's Committee have promptly issued directive documents, ensuring the promotion of positivity and efficiency in land management from the merger.
The city will continue to study and improve mechanisms and policies and adjust land management in the direction of decentralization, delegation, and reform of administrative procedures more strongly to suit the management practice after the merger, ensuring efficiency, transparency, and convenience for people and businesses.
