On the afternoon of April 3, a major fire broke out at a 5-storey building on Nguyen Van Cong Street, Ward 3, Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City, causing many people to panic and run away.
According to initial information, at around 2:00 p.m. the same day, smoke suddenly broke out from the top floor of a building with an area of about 200 square meters. At this time, many people inside the building tried to put out the fire but failed, forcing each other to scream and run down. Just a few minutes later, the fire spread and engulfed the entire upper floor.

The building where the fire occurred was located in a densely populated residential area. The ground floor of the building is divided into many rental space, providing services such as food sales, medicine and dental services.
According to Mr. Hung, a resident living near the scene, the building is under repair. At the time of the fire, there were about 5 workers working on the rooftop and trying to put out the fire, but because the fire broke out so strong, they had to run down.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force quickly sent 4 fire engines and dozens of soldiers to the scene. The soldiers approached the scene from many directions, climbed to the next roof, pulled the tornado, wore the oxygen mask to put out the fire and prevent the fire from spreading to the lower floors.
Currently, the authorities are continuing to handle the scene and investigate the cause of the fire.
