In recent days, hearing that people in the northern provinces suffered heavy losses due to floods, Ms. Ho Thi My Hanh, a trader at Rap market, Son Trung commune, Huong Son district (Ha Tinh) called on everyone to join hands to support.
Hundreds of people from Son Trung and Pho Chau town responded enthusiastically, contributing 300kg of rice, 200kg of sticky rice, 10,000 dong leaves, hundreds of boxes of instant noodles, drinking water, dry food, medicine, books and 100 sets of clothes.
With the ingredients, everyone quickly prepared, working through the night to wrap the cakes, cook the cakes and arrange the furniture.
Up to now, people have wrapped 1,000 banh chung cakes along with goods and necessities to urgently transport to the North to give to people in flood-hit areas.
Ms. Ho Thi My Hanh shared: “I could not hold back my tears when seeing the tragic scene of the people in the North caused by the floods. I want to do something right away to support, help and encourage the people in the Northern provinces in a timely manner, contributing to helping them ease their pain and loss and soon stabilize their lives.”
