On May 10, after the incident of the Mausoleum of King Le Tuc Tong being violated, the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province sent a document to departments and localities to strengthen management, protection, prevention and handling of acts of theft, excavation, salvage, trade and illegal exchange of relics and antiques in the province.

The People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province assigned the Provincial Police to preside over and coordinate with relevant units and localities to urgently investigate and clarify the case of encroachment on the tomb of King Le Tuc Tong, strictly handle acts of encroachment, arbitrarily digging, and illegally searching for relics and antiques in the relic area.
Request the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa province to continue to strengthen the urging of units and localities to effectively carry out the work of protecting and promoting the value of historical - cultural relics and scenic spots assigned to management; ensure compliance with regulations.
In addition, review, inventory and digitize all existing relics and relics, establish strict management records to avoid loss; install signs and boundary markers at relic sites, organize patrols and surveillance with cameras in key areas at risk of encroachment.
Strictly handle violations, investigate and prosecute promptly, apply a penalty framework that is enough to deter. At the same time, consider the responsibility of the head if there are prolonged violations.

Previously, as reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, on the evening of May 3, during a patrol at the Mausoleum of King Le Tuc Tong (in Kien Tho Commune, Ngoc Lac District), the authorities discovered that the mausoleum area had signs of being encroached upon by bad guys.
At the scene, there was a mobile phone with Chinese characters installed, a male identification document and a tattoo near the tomb of King Le Tuc Tong.
After the incident, on May 4, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police coordinated with Quang Ninh Provincial Police to arrest 2 people of Chinese nationality including: Shen Jiangyang (born in 1982; residing in Hop Pho District, Bac Hai City, Quang Tay Province) and Deng Zhiji (born in 1984; residing in Tay Huong Town, Nam Ninh City, Choang Ethnic Autonomous Region, Quang Tay Province) who were the subjects who robbed the tomb of King Le Tuc Tong, in Mong Cai City, Quang Ninh Province.
