Penalties for running red lights for cars
According to Point a, Clause 5, Article 5 of Decree No. 100/2019/ND-CP (amended and supplemented by Decree 123/2021/ND-CP), car drivers who commit red light violations will be subject to administrative penalties. from 4,000,000 - 6,000,000 VND. In addition to being fined, the vehicle driver who commits the violation will also be subject to an additional penalty and will have his or her driver's license revoked for 1 - 3 months (point b, clause 11, Article 5). In case of failure to comply with traffic lights and causing an accident, your driver's license will be revoked for 2 - 4 months.
Fines for speeding with cars:
Fine from 800,000 VND to 1,000,000 VND for drivers who exceed the prescribed speed from 5 km/h to under 10 km/h (Point a, Clause 3, Article 5 of Decree 100/2019/ND-CP) .

In addition, the vehicle driver who commits the violation will also have his or her right to use the driver's license revoked from 02 to 04 months (Point c, Clause 11, Article 5 of Decree 100/2019/ND-CP).
A fine from 10,000,000 VND to 12,000,000 VND will be imposed on drivers who exceed the prescribed speed limit by more than 35 km/h (Point c, Clause 7, Article 5 of Decree 100/2019/ND-CP).
