According to records, the car belongs to the C6 generation - a luxury wagon line that Audi introduced in the mid-2000s. In the Vietnamese market, the number of Audi A6 Avants is quite limited, mainly appearing under private import, so the image of the car in a state of degradation makes many car lovers feel regretful.
The Audi A6 C6 generation is developed based on the previous generation C5 platform but has larger overall dimensions, reaching a length of about 4,927 mm. The model was created by designer Satoshi Wada in 2001, highlighted by the characteristic "single frame" grille - a detail that gradually became a familiar identity of the Audi brand in the later period. Along the body is a raised line running throughout from the front lights to the taillights, creating a seamless and solid feeling.
In this generation, Audi equips the A6 with the MMI multimedia control interface - modern technology at the time of launch. The system allows the driver to control functions such as entertainment, air conditioning, satellite navigation and vehicle operation settings through the central screen, contributing to a significant reduction in the number of mechanical buttons on the dashboard.
In terms of operation, the A6 C6 is introduced with a new series of engines applying FSI direct fuel injection technology. The car has many gearbox options such as Multitronic for the front-wheel drive version and a 6-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission on all-wheel drive versions. The Quattro drive system using the Torsen center differential continues to be a familiar highlight, especially on high-power engine configurations.
The Avant wagon variant of the A6 was developed based on the idea from the Avantissimo concept model launched in 2001 and officially commercialized in 2005. After that, Audi continued to expand its portfolio with the more versatile A6 Allroad Quattro version, adding V6 and V8 engine options.
The appearance of an A6 Avant in Vietnam today is still considered rare, reflecting the specificity of the luxury wagon line that is not popular in the domestic market.
