Rivian has introduced the California Dune Editions version of the R1T and R1S models. These models are based on 3-motor variants and are inspired by the deserts in Golden State (USA). Special editions have unique California Dune exterior, highlighted by black accents.
Changes in the design continue to take place inside with the Adventure interior combining sandstone and Black Mountain fabric. They are combined with dark wooden panels and fashion Chilewich floors.
The California Dune Edition version is equipped with a combined 3-motor powertrain (including 1 front-mounted electric motor and 2 other engines at the rear). This gives the 4-wheel drive models an output of 850 horsepower (634 kW / 862 PS) with a torque of 1,103 lb-ft (1494 Nm).
The car is also equipped with a large capacity battery, so it can accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in just 2.9 seconds and travel an estimated distance of 329 miles (529 km) between charges.
The starting price for this model is 99.900 USD for the R1T California Dune Edition, while the R1S is priced at 105,900 USD. According to the company, both models have an expected delivery time of 1-6 weeks.
