On the portal, these insurance companies have posted instructions on the types of documents people need to prepare to enjoy motorbike insurance as follows:
1. Compensation claim document.
2. Documents related to the motor vehicle and driver (Certified copy from the original or Copy certified by the insurance company after comparing with the original or photo copy):
Vehicle Registration Certificate (or a certified copy of the original Vehicle Registration Certificate with the original valid receipt from the credit institution, in place of the original Vehicle Registration Certificate within the period The credit institution keeps the original vehicle registration certificate) or vehicle ownership transfer documents and vehicle origin documents (in case there is no vehicle registration certificate).
Driving license.
Identity card or Citizen Identification card or Passport or other identification documents of the driver.
3. Documents proving damage to health and life (Copies from medical facilities or copies certified by the insurance company after comparing with the original or photo copy). Depending on the level of human damage, one or more of the following documents may be included:
Certificate of injury.
Medical records.
Extract of death declaration or death notice or written confirmation from the police or the examination results of the forensic examination agency in cases where the victim died on a vehicle or died due to an accident.
4. Documents proving damage to property:
Valid invoices, documents or evidence proving the repair or replacement of property damaged by an accident (in case the insurance enterprise repairs or overcomes damage, the insurance enterprise responsible for collecting these documents).
Papers, invoices, and documents related to expenses incurred by the motor vehicle owner to minimize losses or to follow the instructions of the insurance company.
5. Copies of relevant documents from the Police in accidents causing death to third parties and passengers or cases where it is necessary to verify that the accident was caused entirely by the third party's fault , including: Notice of results of investigation, verification, and settlement of the accident or Notice of conclusion of investigation and settlement of the accident.
6. Minutes of inspection from the insurance enterprise or the person authorized by the insurance enterprise.
7. Court decision (if any).
The insurance buyer and the insured are responsible for collecting and sending the insurance company the documents specified in Clause 1, Clause 2, Clause 3, Clause 4 and Clause 7 of this Article. Insurance enterprises are responsible for collecting documents specified in Clauses 5 and 6 of this Article.
It is known that the Draft Decree stipulates penalties for administrative violations of traffic order and safety in the field of road traffic; Deduction of points and reinstatement of driving license points will take effect from January 1, 2025, regulating penalties for not having motorbike insurance.
In Article 19 the draft stipulates:
Fine from 100,000 VND to 200,000 VND for drivers of motorbikes, mopeds, motorbike-like vehicles and moped-like vehicles without a Certificate of Civil Liability Insurance of Valid motor vehicle ownership.
