On March 18, the People's Committee of Lam Dong province said that it had issued a document requesting agencies and units to strictly implement regulations on the management and use of signal emitting devices of vehicles entitled to priority.
In which, it is absolutely forbidden to arbitrarily install or use horns and priority lights for vehicles that do not meet the conditions.

Units are required to review all vehicles under their management; in case vehicles are out of age, change the purpose of use or are no longer eligible, they must proactively remove priority equipment and return the license according to regulations.
The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Provincial Police to preside over and strengthen patrols and inspections on roads; promptly detect and strictly handle violations, especially acts of illegal installation and use of priority signal equipment, ensuring no exceptions, no forbidden zones.
Lieutenant Colonel Vu Manh Ha, Head of Traffic Police Team No. 3 (Lam Dong Police), said that recently there has been a situation where some personal vehicles install horns and flashing lights to "ask for directions", causing frustration for traffic participants.
Some cases also impersonate priority vehicles to move quickly, posing a risk of accidents.
The arbitrary installation and use of priority signal transmitters not only violates the law but also causes traffic unsafety, affecting vehicles that are actually on duty," Lieutenant Colonel Ha said.
According to the Traffic Police force, in the coming time, it will strengthen inspections and strictly handle violations, and at the same time promote propaganda to raise people's awareness of compliance, not to use illegal priority signal devices.
In addition, functional forces also warned about the situation of abusing ambulances and official vehicles to use priority signals for improper purposes.
According to the leader of the Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police, the abuse of priority signals not only reduces the effectiveness of vehicles performing emergency tasks but also poses a potential risk of traffic unsafety.
In the coming time, the Traffic Police force will coordinate with relevant units to strengthen inspection and strictly handle violations.
