According to the list of police in some provinces just announced, many motorbike owners have been fined remotely.

According to statistics from the traffic surveillance camera system in Bac Ninh province, from January 10, 2026 to January 16, 2026, the police recorded 155 cases of motorbikes (motorcycles) violating and being fined remotely. The list is as follows:

The Traffic Police Department of An Giang Provincial Police announced that from December 31, 2025 to January 14, 2026, many cases of traffic safety violations were detected through the traffic surveillance camera system and professional technical equipment vehicles. Notably, among these, there are motorbike owners who violated as follows:

People should pay attention to the penalty level for motorbike drivers violating new regulations according to Decree 168/2024/ND-CP as follows:

Motorbike drivers running red lights are fined retroactively from 4-6 million VND (the old fine was 800,000 VND to 1 million VND).

Motorcyclists who do not wear helmets will be fined from 400,000 to 600,000 VND.

To pay remote fines, people can go to the police headquarters where remote fines are detected or to the police station where they reside to resolve violations according to regulations.

However, according to the new recommendation of the Traffic Police Department, people should go to the headquarters of the traffic police department where they have permanent residence to handle, and should not go to the place where violations are detected in other localities to handle, which is both overloaded for functional forces and requires long travel.

The police also advised that running at the correct speed is not only a matter of complying with the law, but also a responsibility to oneself, family and community.
