Information from the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) - Ministry of Public Security said that in the period from 12:00 on January 21 to 12:00 on January 22, the artificial intelligence (AI) application camera system operated by this unit recorded many cases of traffic order and safety violations in Hanoi and the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway.
Accordingly, at km20 of the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway, AI cameras recorded 8,379 vehicles traveling, with an average speed of 77km/h.
Through data analysis, the system detected 4 cases of not wearing seat belts. Violations have been notified to vehicle owners for handling according to regulations.
In the inner city of Hanoi, the pilot AI camera system installed at the Pham Van Bach - Hoang Quan Chi intersection (Cau Giay ward) has automatically detected 14 cases of not wearing helmets; 23 cases of not complying with signal light commands (motorbikes, motorcycles); 1 case of going against traffic.
AI cameras installed on Le Van Luong street did not detect any cases of going in the wrong lane during the above time frame.
All violations have been transferred to the Hanoi City Police and functional units to carry out handling procedures in accordance with legal regulations.
The Traffic Police Department recommends that people seriously comply with traffic laws, contributing to ensuring safety for themselves and the community when participating in traffic.
