On January 26, functional forces of Binh Dong ward were still coordinating with professional units of Ho Chi Minh City Police to blockade and examine the scene to investigate the cause of the fire in the area.
The incident started to break out at about 1:30 am on the same day at a house located on Hoang Minh Dao street, Binh Dong ward. As soon as they detected smoke and fire, local people and some passersby immediately tried to put out the fire on the spot using available means but failed.

The fire then encountered many flammable materials such as wood, tarpaulins... so it broke out strongly, spreading to many other houses, and many explosions were heard from the fire.

Upon receiving the news, firefighters and many specialized vehicles were quickly mobilized to the scene to deploy formations. Many reconnaissance teams and firefighters made efforts to approach the fire from many different directions to spray water and isolate the fire. After more than an hour of controlling the fire, the fire was completely extinguished by functional forces.

Currently, functional forces are still blockading the area inside the fire to examine the scene, investigate the cause as well as update specific damage to people and property.
