According to statistics from the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of the Ministry of Public Security, in the period from 7:30 am on July 26 to 7:30 am on July 27, 2026, on the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway, the AI Camera system at Km20 recorded 12,075 vehicle trips, and at the same time detected 3 speeding cases.
At key intersections in Hanoi, AI cameras continue to automatically recognize and warn of many violations. During the above period, the system recorded 53 cases of not wearing helmets, 53 cases of running red lights (including 1 car), 1 case of going against traffic and 2 cases of going in the wrong lane.
According to the Traffic Police Department, in addition to data from the AI Camera system, the traffic police force also receives many feedbacks from people through online platforms.
Through Facebook, the Traffic Police Department received 32 feedback messages, of which 31 messages with sufficient grounds have been transferred to local traffic police units for verification and handling.
The main behaviors reflected include overtaking vehicles in violation of regulations, driving in the wrong lane or lane, using phones when driving, not wearing seat belts, carrying oversized and overloaded goods, going against traffic, changing lanes in violation of regulations, running into the emergency stop lane, turning around causing accidents and not obeying traffic lights.
Through Zalo, functional forces received 12 reflected messages, of which 6 sufficiently grounded messages have been transferred to functional agencies for verification and handling according to regulations.
For the VNeTraffic application, the system received and transferred 49 reflected messages for verification. According to the Traffic Police Department, to date, the VNeTraffic application has 9,694,995 registered accounts.
The Traffic Police Department assesses that the combination of the AI Camera system and images, videos, and reports provided by people is contributing to improving the efficiency of detecting and handling violations, while enhancing the awareness of law compliance of traffic participants, towards building a safe and civilized traffic environment.
