At 9:29 am on April 25, at Km5+930 of the Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway, functional forces discovered Mr. Nguyen Quoc D (born in 1970, residing in Hai Phong) driving a 10-seater passenger car with license plate 15H-225XX traveling into the emergency stop lane on the expressway.
The above act violates the provisions of point d, clause 5, Article 6 of Decree 168/2024/ND-CP of the Government. For this violation, the driver is fined from 4 to 6 million VND and 2 points will be deducted from the driver's license.
The Traffic Police Department informed that emergency lanes on highways are only used in cases where vehicles encounter problems or real emergency situations. Driving vehicles into this lane to overtake vehicles or avoid congestion poses a high risk of causing traffic accidents, obstructing priority vehicles and rescue forces. Functional agencies recommend that vehicle drivers absolutely do not use emergency lanes to move, even during times of high vehicle density or due to rush, urgent work. Each driver needs to strictly comply with legal regulations to ensure safety for themselves and other traffic participants.
