On October 19, information from Road Management Office III.4 (Road Management Area III, Vietnam Road Administration) said that in recent days, the construction unit responsible for maintaining and repairing National Highway 14 has repaired the road.
Gia Lai Road Management and Construction Joint Stock Company (located in Hoa Lu ward, Pleiku city) has repaired the damage from Km 1564 - Km 1575 National Highway 14, with a volume of 1,670m2.
According to the Road Management Office III.4, taking advantage of the sunny weather, the unit has proactively urged and supervised the contractor to speed up the progress, to ensure a smooth road surface for people to travel.
Office of Road Management III.4 also directed Gia Lai Road Management and Construction Joint Stock Company to increase patrols and promptly handle damaged locations on the route.
Currently, National Highway 14 through Gia Lai province has basically completed the repair of damaged road surfaces.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that National Highway 14 is a vital traffic route connecting the Central Highlands provinces to promote economic and social development.
However, the section connecting Gia Lai and Kon Tum is full of potholes, posing a potential risk of traffic accidents.
In September 2024, Road Management Office III.4 (Road Management Area III) sent many documents reminding construction units and project investors about the damage on National Highway 14.
If people have traffic accidents due to bad roads, avoiding potholes, falling into holes, etc., the construction and maintenance unit will be fully responsible before the law.
