Previously, Ms. T.T.H (47 years old) and Mr. L.H (43 years old), both husband and wife, both residing in Phu Thuy ward, were hospitalized with numbness, numbness of the tongue, vomiting, and foaming at the mouth. Mr. L.H was also paralyzed in his arms and legs.
Exploiting initial information, Ms. T.H said that at noon on August 20, the couple and a friend ate rice fish with om bun, then the above symptoms appeared. As for the friend who ate with him, it was normal.

According to the doctor of the Department of Intensive Care and Anti-Poison, Binh Thuan General Hospital, after receiving intensive care, the two patients have passed the critical stage and are being hospitalized for further health monitoring. Mr. H. was able to move his arms and legs.
The doctor also recommends that people absolutely should not eat any type of toad fish. Because the toxins in toad fish are very strong and pose potential risks to life.
