Ensuring 4-level personnel
According to Da Nang Hospital, the Lunar New Year holiday is usually long, this is the time when people's demand for entertainment and travel increases, leading to risks of traffic accidents, food poisoning or acute diseases. To avoid being passive in all situations, the Board of Directors of Da Nang Hospital has implemented a 4-level personnel plan, including: leadership duty, professional duty, administrative - logistics duty and mobile emergency teams.
Specific personnel division helps the health system operate smoothly, without errors or shortages of positions at hotspots. Especially, in the days leading up to Tet, while mild patients tend to ask to be discharged to reunion homes, pressure increases significantly in key departments such as the Emergency Department or the Department of Respiratory Medicine. Doctors here not only face the increasing number of hospitalized patients but also have to handle severe and complex cases.
MSc. Dr. Tran Minh Huy - Department of Respiratory Medicine, Da Nang Hospital shared: "The unit has proactively arranged human resources and medical supplies so that the process of receiving patients takes place continuously. The hospital implements dividing the on-duty force to both ensure professional personnel on the spot and resolve the rotation holiday regime for medical staff according to regulations. The work of preparing medicine and medical supplies has also been completed, ready to serve cases arising during this period.

Activate the red alert process
In addition to ensuring on-duty personnel, Da Nang Hospital pays special attention to the "Red Alert" process. This is the fastest reaction process at the highest level, mobilizing all relevant departments to participate in an extremely critical emergency case in the shortest time. During Tet days, this process is always ready to be activated, helping to take advantage of "golden time" to save patients in life-threatening situations.
According to the proposed plan, in case of emergency situations such as mass emergency, serious traffic accidents or mass food poisoning, the hospital will immediately mobilize maximum resources in terms of both human and medical equipment to respond promptly.
BS.CKII Nguyen Thanh Trung - Deputy Director of Da Nang Hospital emphasized: "We assign 4 levels of duty from the Board of Directors, departments and rooms to mobile emergency teams. When there is a mass emergency situation, epidemic or poisoning, a ready response plan has been established from the Emergency Department to all related departments and rooms. Mobile emergency teams can be mobilized immediately to handle the situation.
